

Voyager Youth Program, a nonprofit founded in 1997, supports Ouray County youth and families through educational, recreational, and experiential activities. Our goal is to assis youth so they develop into critically thinking, well balanced, healthy individuals.
Our Programs
Summer Enrichment Program - Do you want to experience the wonders of Ouray County while making lasting friends? Our Summer Day Camps include a variety of activities including hiking, swimming, field trips all over Western Colorado, art, and FUN! Join us for a week, a day, or the whole summer.
San Juan Outdoor Learning Academy (SOLA) - Are you adventurous? Do you love being outside? Do you want to learn to ROCK CLIMB or MOUNTAIN BIKE? Do you want to see the views from the top of a 14,150 foot mountain? If you answered “Yes!” to any of these questions, then SOLA is the program for you.
After School Enrichment - Supervised by a trained, enthusiastic staff, our after-school program offers a wide range of activities to enrich youth ages 5 – 12. Activities range from our popular “Kids in the Kitchen” program to arts and crafts to outdoor activities.
Rock Climbing Team – The Voyager sponsored Ridgway/Ouray Rock Climbing Team competes throughout the state of Colorado. The season begins with try-outs are in the fall and lasts through March with a camp out to finish out the season.
Lunch Group - Voyager Youth Program, in collaboration with Juvenile Diversion of Ouray County offers a monthly “Lunch Group” for 7 th and 8 th grade boys and girls. The objective of Lunch Group is to instill self-awareness, self-esteem and self-respect among the students.
Homework Help – Do you need some extra help to stay ahead in school? Voyager sponsor a “Homework Help” session for youth who need some guidance. Our Program Director, who is a certified teacher for Secondary Science, provides this service free on Mondays and Wednesdays after school.
